    Totally agree with Nick.
Teeks-if you need someone to berate, I'm sure I speak for many on the forum-an SPT only REALLY starts when we see the rhino picture :)

Looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend.
Hoping to play better than I did in Manchester.
Just remember the following, If Tikay has Queens, you are good no matter what.
If Irish Rose stands up, starts to put her coat on and says she has a plane to catch, you are in deeeeeep trouble.
    Nick

Seeing as I'm driving the motor up to Notts tomorrow I think I'll be the one in major trouble if I say I have a plane to catch!!

Hope to catch up with a fair few of you tomorrow/Saturday - mines a diet coke or hot chocolate please..........

    Run golden all xxx

If anyone else uses that dreadful, annoying, irritating, stupid, ridic, "cheeky" prefix they are gonna find themselves banned.

I hope I have made myself clear.

    Oh man.

    Looking forward to this weekend.

Hitting the road soon, might stop at Rutland Water on the way to feed the birds and have a cheeky sandwich.

    Rhino? RHINO?

FFS, I'm surrounded by ignorance here. It's a hippo for crying out loud. It'd be well rude to say CTBN looks like a Rhino. Hippo yes, rhino no.

5 am pint of larger, ye bleedin lout.

On the train with a cheeky Chilean red.

Think that should get through, i mentioned trains after all.
If i mention that it was from Bristol, where Brunnel did so much of his work, that should seal the deal.

    Anyway, see you soon, man.

Good try, but it's Brunel, not Brunnel.

    FAIL

When we write about Great Brits - Brunel, Thatcher, Robbie Williams, we should at least have the decency to spell their names properly.

    Sigh, meh. Must try harder.

But, if we're to mention Great Brits, Shirley Thatcher and Williams are poor picks.

    Attlee and Waters for me.

Just arriving at Birmingham New Street for my change to Notts, has to be one of the most tilting stations.

Managed to lose my specs in all the excitement this morning, by excitement i mean having to do the school run twice before heading for the train as son left lunch and trip money at home.

Could you have a word with the card room and try to organise 4 colour decks please, thanks man.

Gotta agree as to Birmingham New Street, thoroughly dreadful in every way.

Am just arriving at Nottingham Station via East Midlands Trains. Decent trip - slam-door stock hauled by a class 43. Don't get better than that.

Hi and GOOD LUCK to all at SPT.... especially all the sat. qualifiers.

Wish I was there but sadly I didn't qualify :'(

Tikay can you say a'BIG HELLO' to Nigel Jemson for me (Jeremy Tilson, he'll remember me as 'Stumpy' :s)...... I believe he's the Commercial Manager for the Alea Casino (Nottingham).

We used to knock about, and play golf at the course I was Golf Pro at (Wortley GC) when he played for 'The Owls' back in the 90's. He's a very good golfer, he used to play off 4 or 5 and once went round my course in 69....... I lost a few quid to him that day!

He's a bit of a 'Forest' legend from when he scored the winning goal in the League Cup Final at Wembley. He used to play quite a bit of Poker too.......if he was behind he would nearly always hit the 'River'. I was just glad I was only watching the game then.

Would be great if you could do that for me Teeks..... if he's still working there.

    Many Thanks

    JEZ

I would have preferred to arrive tomorrow but today's cheapest train ticket+ an extra day at the hotel is cheaper than any train that would get me their early enough on Saturday.

I'll be arriving at nottingham 6-7pm, shall practice my live poker on the cash table practice betting 10bb rather than the 100bb I was doing at previous SPTs

    ^^^^

    Will do my best JEZ.

I used to play snooker most afternoons with the Nottingham Forest lads, that was in the days when Kenny Burns & John Robertson were there. Dale Winton, who passed away a week or so back, was there most afternoons too, he was with Trent FM at the time.
