Going into the last 90 minutes of Day 1a - let me know if you would like updates on certain players and I will try my best to report before play completes.
If you are not familiar with this beautiful City, here's a couple of interesting (?) photos which show the juxtaposition between the 2 football stadia (Forest & County) & Trent Bridge Cricket ground. They really are all very close.
Think we can assume the 2nd was taken in the summer, whilst County's pitch was being relaid.
WE were unable to garner these last night, & it was very late, so as soon as any of the poker staff from Alea arrive, we will get the Day 1A overnight chip counts up for you.
I can tell you that 4 of the Staff played yesterday - Sam, Kirsty, Ambo & myself - & as far as I know, all 4 made Day 2.
I don't have chip counts for Kirsty, Sam or Ambo yet, but I can give you my chip count, with Blinds about to go 1,500-3000/300 when Day 2 commences at 1pm tomorrow.

@hhyftrftdr congratulations - you've been added into tomorrow's Sharpshooter Event!
Hope for a cheeky deep run, that will pay for beers o'clock on Sunday in Nottingham.

Was great to hook up with you & Mich yesterday, glad you both enjoyed it.
Lot of water flowed under our 3 bridges since all first met some 10 years ago.
A very good morning to you all from a wonderfully sunny Nottingham, we have a clear blue sky and all is well with the world. Sort of.

Julian Thew's house can just about be seen in the upper photo, he lives in the shadow of the Cricket Ground.
We invited him along this weekend, but he broke his toe* last week & is currently not too mobile, so he had to decline.
*Actually, he told me he had broken his third metatarsal, but I think that might just be a posh word for his tootsie.
