Yeah I'm just playing all the old mtts (barring the mains obv) that I used to play and love.......poker is fun and I need to remember that!!!

So, I played 4 mtt's tonight, results below.

First up I played a £25 gtd £1.10 BI.....this is a rebuy but decided I wasn't taking the rebuy or addon, it can be done without these. Not tonight though lol, Never got going!.........btw there were only 10 runners!

Tonight didn't go so well. Had two sat attempts for the 8k BH and was first out both times.......the hand that repeatedly kicked me in the nuts was KK. In one mtt I had them twice on the trot and lost both times. I either had them and lost or lost to them. Not loving kings tonight!!!

Did cash in the £500 BH but still quite frustrated with that too. I was sitting 3/22 then in the space of 2 hands my stack was destroyed. I ran 99 into aces all in pre then very next hand I shove my last 12bb with AK and get looked up by AJ (with the chance of a big head prize).....he rivers the flush. Lost my last 4bb with 66. Was all pretty standard stuff but slightly gutted as I felt that I could have at least made the final table.

Still, was a fun night, much prefer playing mtts. I'm not properly rolled for them atm and the variance is high but as long as I don't drop to £30 I'm gonna keep cracking on with them.

Quick update.....

Have been running and playing awful recently and the high variance involved with playing mtts is hurting!!

I know I'm desperate for ANY money when after building up a decent stack and then getting trampled all over in the syndicate freeroll, I then allow myself to run the clock down with my 2.5bb to hold on for 2.30 lol

Poker has been awful for the past couple of nights. Tonight was no change, cant win a flip, can't win a 70/30. I'm posting 3 key hands from tonights DTD's.

1. I know the oppo here. He had been 3 betting light most of the game and had recently lost half his stack. When he 3 bets again I'm pretty sure my hand is good so shove.........I discussed the hand briefly in the chat box. I was basically questioning his call, saying I'm not 4 bet shipping with worse than KQ. He said he was short?? I know its not a bad beat, but was I right to 4 bet shove given my reads. Had oppo invested to much to fold??

2. Could not believe what X turned up with here! Limp, 4x raise, call, I 3bet then the limper (X) shoves......urgh not loving life. When Y just flats, I'm not 100% sure of what to make of it but I would have thought AA/KK would have prob shoved..........dunno, tough spot but I decide to go with it and shove and Y folds. My play ok (thinking 3 bet size might be too small)?? Is it too much of a gamble??

Update: A bad night at the tables. Only really got going in one mtt, the £1.10 deepy. but with 38 left I made a crucial mistake, at least I think it was a mistake??? Here is the hand.

That's maybe the problem with the low stakes tournies, bad play by a good number of opponents. A lot of oppoents lol

I've been caught out with similiar stuff in the last few games, opponents calling with total junk and hitting.

Yeah we want these calls, but with the sheer amount of bad play, they inevitably are going to hit their hand sometime.

In the hand above, it's a tight fold, but they are saying loud and clear they have trips. Unlucky

But, from my experience in the last couple of weeks bad players, don't lie lol

I've had atleast 3 occasions in the last 2 weeks, where people have called hefty bets pre with junk and hut!

Oppo had been a frequent raiser pre and I thought that given my stack size I had a good enough hand to go to war?? If I win this hand then I'm up into the top 10 and almost certainly cashing. Love the flop, can't lose from here surely

Yeah he was always 3xing, also the guy next to me in the big blind was away and this was the second orbit on the trot where oppo had raised in this spot, so the fact he may have been just trying to steal his blind was also a factor in my decision. If I ran into JJ+, AQ or AK then fair play but I had given him a much wider range so quite happy with how I played it. I just need to hit and hold!!
