I continue to get the absolute **** taken out of me.

Played two so far this evening.

KO'd in the first due to a nice cooler, 2nd nuts (straight) vs nut straight.

And just bombed out the 5k. Had a major setback when losing with AK on a KK77x board - losing to quads, obviously, why wouldn't I?

Then, my remaining chips went due to this all-to-common nonsense...

I thought I would take a last minute gamble in the UKOPS 12, so bought-in at the break and adding-on with a view to gamble.

I immediately took the opportunity to get it in with a straight/flush/two-pair draw, which all missed.

Last night wasn't totally wasted as I finally got around to watching The Invisible Man, on one of the Sky movie channels. I'd been meaning to see this for some time and I was not disappointed. It is brilliantly executed and Elizabeth Moss was excellent in the lead.

The ridiculously overrated Joker played simultaneously on another channel. Let's take a moment for those who made the wrong viewing choice last night - I wonder how many were impressed by the Emperor's new threads?

Anyway, enough fun, back to poker. Have decided on two UKOPS this evening; the PLO8 and the 4k £11 BH.

These shall be played alongside numerous failed DYM streak attempts. Currently on a streak of two (count 'em) at £1.10 level.

A poor start to the evening due to being way off my game. An early exit in the PLO8 and I lost half my starting stack during the first level of the 4k.

However, I got my head together, dug in and built my stack to over 50% above starting.

Hardly playing here at the moment so entries may be sporadic. Will do my best to talk about betting stuff, at least.

Did not play at all on Saturday and only two tonight; very late reg in the PLO8 and the Main Event. Went well for a while in the latter, despite premium hands being extremely scarce. Events continue to not really click for me here.

Great weekend on the horses, have some interesting thoughts on the fallout - will do my best to post them in the coming days.

I played a few MTT's last night. Although I failed to cash in any, a bounty here and there meant a small loss overall - which has become a common theme.

I enjoyed the session and felt I played relatively well. However, I continue to run bad in crucial spots, or when all-in pre.

I have just started tonight's session and I am running an ALL-IN-PRE-METER this evening. A running commentary on every AIP hand played.

The failures above came in a satellite. My first MTT this evening is the £22 19:30, which I've not played for a good few weeks.

Horse racing is quiet for me, tomorrow, so I'm free earlier than normal. Let's hope my return to this tournament brings some good fortune.

Why?

It cannot be a coincidence that my dip in form directly coincided with the return of this thread.

Although it's mostly for entertainment reasons, I feel I have been dwelling on negatives far too much. Naturally, this is counter-productive and I believe it has definitely had an impact on my play.

I may not have been getting the rub of the green lately, but, over the past 2-3 weeks at least, I have not been at my best.

So, this thread will no longer include tales of woe.

Yeah, let's see how that lasts.

I limp here with the view to shove all-in over the ultra-predictable BB squeeze, providing all others fold.

I snap-shove when the action returns to me, like I say, this decision was made before my initial limp.
