J10s - LOL so sick, although I check behind on turn with extra 3 outs and after strong cbet was called. Good for you though that you have someone who can't fold Ace high to two chunky bets, value town baby.
Decided to play last nights Mini ME. Ive never played in a mini, and ive never cashed in an ME so any cash i was counting as an ME cash to get that burden off me back.
Anyways was an eventful tourny so decided to post up some hands as a report for it.
First hour i played pretty bad didnt run well either. 2nd hour if found my pace and a lil bit of run good too.

double quickfire hands here back to back. 4 from money at this point
Its simple to say i cant cope with the variance. I dont wana debate over this again. Nor do i want a shoulder to cry on or be told to read The mental game of poker.
But seriously had enough. Ive put up with a week of these stupid donkey outdraws. I cant cope anymore.
Its clear from this last week i aint going to ever sucseed. So i throw in the towel. I will play. But only for enjoyment.

Hi Don, Firstly, I really enjoy this thread and have learnt a lot from it (I aspire to play cash so it has been a useful read ) Secondly, was just wondering if the "diary" puts extra pressure on you? e.g. Does publicising your goals put added pressure on you? Thirdly, what does only "for enjoyment" mean? do you mean live? Anyway, whatever you decide - good luck. pad

when i started the diary the goal was purley to beat cash. It doesnt add pressure on me at all. if anything helps me stay focused.
Basically when i say for enjoyment. i mean i will be playing anything i like if it sounds like fun. rather than sticking to a majorly strict bankroll playing purley low stakes cash

your BRM hasn't been strict enough, thats why the beats hurt

ryan, full respect to this comment. in defence ive been playing a BRM plan that dohhh and me disccused that sounded reasonable. Ive stopped 6 tabling and dropped 2 levels and im still losing. Thats what hurts

Most people say that you should'nt have more than 5% of your BR in play at one time.
You moved up to NL8 at £160ish and i think you were playing 4+ tables straight away which means if you were playing 4 tables you had £32 in play at one time out of a roll of £160 which is 20% of your BR. Way too much in my opinion mate.
I had a roll of £260 last week which is 26 buy ins at NL10 but although i play a bit of NL10 it is usually just one table along with an NL4 or NL8 table with it to stop me getting bored. If i want to play 3+ tables then i am back to NL4 and NL8 tables trying to keep a cap on how much money i have in play at one time. I'm not saying that i keep to the 5% rule but i do try and keep the % down a bit. I also have a rule if i lose two buy ins in a session then i stand up and have a break because it could be me playing badly rather than bad luck.
I'm not saying any of the above is bang on, just firing ideas about hoping it helps you maybe.
Until it started going wrong, few losing sessions and it went t!ts up.
Then instead of doing the right thing and nitting up/increasing hours/grinding it out, u started playing primo sats, then ukops sats, then small mtts, then bounty hunters, basically anything but cash.
In Response to Re: taking on NL4 (and beyond) diary : £160 to move up to NL8 £120 move back down. £230-£250 for NL10 £160 move back down. Ive stuck to that Tbh dohhh encouraged me to play 2-3 tables, it was my choice to play 6 which he discouraged, Posted by The_Don90
I don't think this is strict enough becuase even though your not doing much wrong the beats come at this level thick and fast and before you know it your £40 down and on severe tilt becuase you can't believe whats just happened and now you feel you need to teach them a lesson and boom another £40 gone. Trust me, been there done that.
I would suggest grind 6 tables ABC tight aggro NL4 back to £180, when at £180. PLAY 2X NL8 only and use these two buy in's to get you off the ground - alongside this you can also play 2or4 x NL4. Play 2xNL8 till you hit £230 and rinse and repeat The extra buy ins should give you some levrage and allow you to still be rolled easily for the level below which you know you can beat and grind money from.

This ^^^^^^^^
Sounds a bit more like it.
Doesnt hurt as much then. I lost £15 out of a roll of £260 yesterday with people outdrawing me. I smiled at the first one, shook my head at the 2nd one and the cushion on the settee next to me got mullered after the 3rd one. Knew i was getting pee'd off with it so stood up and left it. It wasnt my night.
My advice to your current situation (i have been in similar) is to drop to NL4, find 2 or 3 tables with plenty of recreational players and tighten right up until you have a hand you KNOW is good ang get it in. Even a couple of half decent sessions should get you back on track.

£125 down in less than a week. From NL4, 8 and 10. Really i suck at this.
