Come on Don, since you last played, MP33 has put 10 hours in.

Thats 3 times as much as you have put in over the whole challenge.

    Get grinding man.

i tried to get back last night but by the time i did i was too drunk to know what the ace of spades where so i thought playing was a bad idea. got the tidy up to do today but should get a SOBER session in after tea.

Maybe knocking the alcohol on the head for a week or two could be a good idea. ;)

no more birthday partys for 2 weeks, and im in Dublin that weekend so might actually get a sober month in again. :)

to be fair i dont drink often so a little blowout wasnt too hurtful i dont think. tbh i actually thought when i was tipsy i played better.

You can't go to Ireland and stay sober, if you try that they'll boot you out.

In Response to Re: taking on NL4 diary : Just had my worse sesh in a while - played for 6 hours 3 tabling NL4  which in hindsight was to long - lost focus after after bout 3-4 hours and made  cpl of basic errors. Only picked up aces once which got bt by qaud 9,s definately won,t be plying that long again without a break - suprised i,m only £6 down - Thought it was more BR £150       1450pts BR £179.33   1776 pts  - It didn,t help when i realised i was playing on some 3 player tbles where you don,t get any points. there has to be 4 players in the hand

I'm sure that's not right. I've just had a look through the page where it explains how to earn points & nowhere does it state that there has to be a minimum of 4 players in the hand.

    I think he's getting confused...

MP33 - I believe you're confusing poker points and league points. Poker points are earned on any hand with at least 1p rake. But league points are only earned on hands with at 3 people dealt hole cards, and you get 1point per hand won (at our level)

Cheers _ I was getting mixed up with league and normal points

Anyway another 2 hour sesh just completed  (4 tabling ) Pretty qiuet really, but no mistakes which was pleasing  There was  a lot of folding, but after numerous attempts at set mining finally hit one toward  the end for a nice little pot - About £7 up  on the session and slightly closer to 2k.

It looks a lot more realistic  target now after playing  several hours last night

It would be interesting to see how many points someone could get in 1 month, just by playing NL4 , but I won,t be trying that for a while as i,m starting to miss my satelites and the odd MTT

    BR £150        1450 pts
    BR £197.63    1842 pts

Surely it makes more sense to just plug away at NL4-10 maybe NL20 until you can start funding the sats and MTT's directly through that, then you will essentially be playing those other games for free.

Yeah I'd be very interested to really hammer 4NL-10NL for a month and see what points I could get but I've got a job and I think to really get the most points possible while having a job, I'd have to not have a life for a month and I think my girlfriend would kill me for not helping with the kids.

Had a good session on Saturday. I was at my mums and her internet connection is rubbish so I can only play 1 table there but from about 2.5 hours of 4p/8p (1 table) I made a nice £40 profit. Getting my BR up to just under £250 :D

I don't think you should ever play NL4-10 for the points, all your profits should be from the awful players you play and if you manage to get the £5 or £15 bonus it's a little extra but not the make or break of the month. I'd imagine decent points are only made past NL100.

I,m still waiting for a big session like that - Its always nice

Totally agree if you have a job aand more commitments its not a good idea to do a pts challenge as it takes more time than i expedted and you seem to be doin fine with your BR

How many tables do you play normally?

It does. This challenge i,ve set ,myself was just a spur of the moment thing to focus on one thing for a week or so as I also play on  cpl of other sites in maninly $10 DYM,s and STT,s targeting soft games on SS which has been steady and  making a little bit more than I hve on NL4 but I would like to focus on one thing .

Ideally it would be cash as thats where the money is but I,ve had tries at up to NL30 and although breaking even at NL10, I couldn,t beat higher than that, but its something I,ll probably think about. I,m also not sure if i,ll have s much time on my hands in the nxt few months as I have in last few

i,ve just read how Dohhhh would like to earn money mentoring ppl in the show thread. How much would you charge Dohhhhhh?

ps - hows the Don gettin on?

I mix it up really depending on how much I'm messing about on the forum lol, can usually do about 3-4 tables and still comfortable mooch about on the forum without it wrecking my games. I've just left 4NL behind and am trying to only play 8NL now, obviously with the exception of there being no good tables running.
