Think thats where I went wrong last night - Table selection Theres no point sitting with the regs who post on this thraed who play NL4 as we all know each others game at this level so theres no value How many points u got Don and what are your plans for next month? And are you gonna continue ur diary Posted by MP33
the diary will continue until im properly going in cash. Weather thats what im pwning dohhhh at NL30 or getting pwned by Lolufold at NL200 i dont know lol. (dreams lol)
Points wise this month im struggling badly think ive just hit the 300 mark. Plans for next month is to make 1000, but for me C4P isnt that important. Having profitable sessions is what its all about for me.
Ill happily sit with a reg or two if theres a fish on the table. E.g. table before Tommy and JJ both ended up on a table i was on but there was a major fish. I just avoided any major pots with JJ and Tommy and played the rest. I think thats the key.

Yh I think the 1000 point mark is a decent one to aim for, that's the only I try and have got twice now without playing any crazy amount of hands - 333 a day is a piece of you know what lol
On the REG thing when you get to NL10 you'll find (mainly in the daytime) that you'll be sitting with minimum of 2 REGS at a table, however at NL4 there is enough tables to not have 2 REGS on ya table if you table select properly. Yes you can stay out their way but the way I often see it is those two REGS are taking up the space of possible DEAD MONEY which are the players you need to play to make money.
Another 3 hours 4 tabling - Couldn,t get paid on hands and had to go all in chasing a nut flush on the flop as i was getting the odds but missed _ Think i finished about level - EDIt 2 quid up - woo
Chill out don and think about this with a clear head tomorrow. It's easy to have losing sessions you've just got to stick at it. Posted by AcidMan27
i played a total of 10 hands. needed the loo and had kings, said to my mate just dont fold this, i come back i have to reload i said what happened, he said A on board but u said dont fold. Oh jesus christ.
Ive played AK countless times not hit a single flop.
Flop a set and some guy hits runners to hit a better house.
Don I lost over 500 bb's at the start of July over two sessions when my roll was just over £100, this took me back below £100 and was a real tough time but I just kept plugging away and built it back up.
This hand is great as you could have lost the lot but you had the discipline to not stupidly shove river but check and give up.
Indeed. Don't give up now. Think of it this way...you're a few quid down now but over the course of the last week, you've still doubled your BR. If you carry on at that rate, you can't argue. No-one can win every session, you just gotta win more on the winning sessions than you lose on the losing ones, and you have done, by quite a bit.
It's such a fine line too at this level when you're waiting for decent hands. If you get unlucky with these hands or don't get paid off then you're struggling to make any profit for that session.

PMSL - U,ve gotta laugh Don
I once came in drunk with a cpl of mates. My internet was on and I decided to have a few spins on a casino game "Top Gun "
I only had about 8 pound in my ccount and I pressed spin to get a feature. It was the only skill feature i,ve ever seen on an online slot - You had to shoot the planes. As I was drunk and one of my m8,s was a top gamer I let him do it for me - 6 shots - He hit 1 out of 6
I realised then that I hadn,t adjusted the bet line to my normal 20p or so and my spin was for the max £5 and by shooting 1 plane i,d got £150 , but everytime after I got that feature again I would always hit 5 or 6, but because I was back to my normal stakes it was only a fiver a p[lane- so he basically cost me a few hundred quid by missing 5 planes at £150 each
as for your game - its nothing - U,ve lost less than 2 buy ins in a bad session wherer it seems u were unlucky

wasn,t palnning on doing but just had a quick 30 mins on 3-4 tables _ Just lost a buy in on the end when someone rivered a set but still a winning sesh ( 1 buy in ) + some useful notes and slightly nearer to 2k
Got to get back on that horse as soon as your mindset is right Don.
I'm very new to nl4. I had a horrible session Friday night which shook my confidence, then sat back in Saturday and immediately got caught with KK when villain rivered his ace. But I've stuck at it and picked up enough since to comfortably more than cover these hits.
There's just so much soft money on these tables for a player like yourself. Keep it simple and stick at it. GL.
i spoke on msn should quit when i said as you were clearly not in the right mindset, crack on later after some chill out time possibly xbox de-tilt PS- dont drink it doesn't solve anything we're not all dohhhh thankfully :P Posted by YOUNG_GUN
Except the i am thirsty mystery or the life is unbearably predictable and tedious conundrum ?
so your up 10bi's in 7days and you want to quit after losing 2 bi's?
if thats all its going to take for you to want to stop playing then maybe poker isnt the game for you, ive been in the red from the 1st of august and most likely will be still in it at the end of today, you just have to learn to accept that you cant win everyday

Yeah man you gotta listen to what this cat tells you. With Anne Frank it took the might of the Third Reich and a trip to Belsen to stop her writing her diary. Yet here are you stopping yours after losing 2 bi's ! What kind of an attitude is that ? What kind of an example are you setting to the kids and the rest of your fans ? Robert the Bruce will be puking in his grave ! It's disgraceful. You are letting yourself and Scotland down badly ! Please reconsider immediately !
