@ MP33, not sure on some of these hands mate. 99 pre in big blind, raise needs to be a LOT bigger here, at least 20p. Also I might just check in big blind and take free set mine. Q7o calling minraise OOP is NOT good, you then minraise flop with 2nd pair no kicker what do you want to be called by? Luckily you slow down on turn river but then call off POT bet  with 2nd pair no kicker, this is NOT good. A9s not crazy about flatting minraise pre but I guess you're playing at 145 bb's deep with xxx so not awful. His flop bet at 75% imo is too much to call for flush draw as you're looking for half pot bets which give you better odds. Turn he bets just halfpot so you can probably just about flat this but why the **** would you minraise it's crazy. River he check folds to your bet, I'm utterly astonished he folded there and you were very spewy here imo.

Day Six Got a small session in. Actually was on for 1 hr 35 mins, ended session early as i hadnt seen a flop in 45 mins and it just seemed the nits where out in force meaning i just couldnt get value. I play on a laptop and use mini view, can get 6 on without much overlap. Would like to play more but it'll just keep timing me out b4 i even get to click.

Yeah it's going good Don and you've got your bankroll up to an amount that is very respectable for 4NL and should be able to cope with the odd losing session. So DON'T tilt!

Tbh, I couldnt be bothered giving my view on all of the hands but one thing I have noticed occasionally from a few of the times you've posted a list of hands, and my girlfriend does the same thing and I used to do it. When you're on the big blind, it gets limped round, you see a flop with a junk hand you would never voluntarily play, hit the flop a little bit, like TP no kicker and end up losing a medium sized pot.

I used to do this all the time and this might be a bit of a tight solution but now if I'm BB with junk and it's been limped to me, I'll only proceed if I flop really big, 2pr, trips, straight etc. It's just easy to get caught out here I think.

The K2 hand i think your referring to was complete loonacy on my part, admitedly. Hands Like AT where id normally raise i often just check and will go strong on an A high flop

Plyed the TOT earlier for £2.20  - Was up to 3rd in half an hour, then a bad fold gainst Lmbert and a cpl od bd beats nd i was out in about 40th. Made nice change tho

U,d have won at least 2 of 3 i reckon

Just woke up an hour early so played for a quick hour on 3 tables - no value at all - Was a buy in up tho until I ran my QQ into AA, but scraped a smll profit - EDIT _ I lost a quid nearly

1. Pretty awful, easy snap fold.

2. nh

3. Snap fold turn. You got lucky here long term your burning money.

4. Raise on flop is good but think you need to be willing to call shove if he does. On Jack turn I just check it back as hard to get called by anything you beat.

5. Flop call fine, turn raise good, river I'd bet around 70-80p and fold to raise. Being raised sucks but you need to get value in these spots at NL4.

6. I just flat minraise pre in SB and set mine, really don't like 3bet against full stacks, yes he had A5 this time but even if he calls you with J10 (which he could) he has overs and is racing. Against awful players I wud rather make sure I'm ahead then just flip for stacks.

7. Flop good discipline, turn I bet more at least 50p, ugly river I probably bet about 60p fold to raise.

8. Being a nit I would snap fold pre, if suited might raise but only to 4x. Fold to minbet on 2 suit board where even if you hit your outs aren't clean. Not sure about turn raise here seems only flush can call but maybe I'm do tight there lol, after river check bet is good.

Really good work mate getting to £76.20, from personal experiance once you get over that £80 mark is gets so much easier as you can keep saying to yourself I have TWENTY **** buy in's, in other words you should NEVER go broke. Always try to do it in little mile stones though so get ya 80 then £100 will be big, first time 3 figures then just plow on to £160 and NL8.

Don i honestly think you should stop posting hands on this thread, if you have genuine doubts post in clinic or talk through on messenger. A) alot of the hands are bit silly by posting alot of hands its giving others an idea how to play against you C) i think its a bit time consuming after all its nl4 so you dont need to be this in depth

take that how you like but thats my thoughts, you have Dohhhh and few others including me who can always talk through hands your not sure so use this just to update your roll and the odd hand is ok

A) alot of the hands are bit silly by posting alot of hands its giving others an idea how to play against you C) i think its a bit time consuming after all its nl4 so you dont need to be this in depth take that how you like but thats my thoughts, you have Dohhhh and few others including me who can always talk through hands your not sure so use this just to update your roll and the odd hand is ok

i think your likley right here mate.

One thing i am glad to see is the amoint of losing hands over the last 4 sessions match that of one session in my last attempt. Admittedly i have had a little run good but also feel bar a couple of mistakes im playing better too.

Started with a mid day session. Will have a second one later tonight. Started 3 tabling and did add a 4th one for a while. Lost 2 Buy ins early. One in clinic the other was just a call i made i could, and should have avoided. However despite making a loss i did keep it to a minmum.

Closing Balance: £75.80

Despite the losing session i felt ok playing there. My table selection was good and i recovered most of my losses.
