    Last week = 14’1 1/4.
    This week = 13’12 1/4.

A good start bearing in mind last weekend included 8 Guiness, 6 Blonde, an Indian and a Chinese.

    Trebor

Don't wish to know either the ethnicity of hair colour of all of your lady friends, thank you.....
6 Blonde ladies, an Indian lady and a Chinese lady. That would of been some weekend and all that exercise would of lead to more that a 3lb weight loss.

The cutting down on smokes club

    Current (approx) regime/habit

    Morning - 5 or 6
    Afternoon - 5 or 6
    Evening - 10 or 13

    = 20/25 per day
    = 140/175 per week

    Intial targets

To decrease amounts in every part of the day.
To get weekly total under 100 ASAP.
To use a vapour more in the evenings.

    Long term/end targets

To get back to zero in at least the mornings (done before, but over 3 years ago).
To get weekly total to under 50.

Notes - Any reasonable advice/help/guidance will be gratefully received.
I will total up each week daily usage.

Cough cough cough.....cough. The smoker has entered the room (only just squeezed past a few of you B) )

    1st week update.

    Fri 4/7/14 = 25
    Sat 0/7/11 = 18
    Sun 0/5/15 = 20
    Mon 3/5/12 = 20
    Tue 3/5/11 = 19
    Wed 3/4/10 = 17
    Thu 5/7/15 = 27

Total (maybe a couple more, but not less) = 146

Not a great start, but seeing it recorded will hopefully encourage me more in the coming weeks. Purchased some nicorette gum this morning, which will reduce the weekly total. Will also get some spray at w/end, which I am told is very good.

Good luck - you should see your GP as the NHS provides free stop smoking services - think they will prescribe you patches/spray or tablets as well as offering counselling and local support groups. Think this would give you a much better chance of success, plus it’s free!

Think your target was 14st, so you are almost 10% of the way there already.

    Week 1 - 14'1 and a 1/4
    Week 2 - 13'12 and a 1/4.
    Week 3 - 13'8 and 3/4.

    Calorie Counting is the future.
Sticking to under 1,820 calories a day Mon to Friday and then not counting on a weekend whilst still not going silly.

    @68Trebor

    3.5lbs, what a star.

That might be this week's best performance.

    Disaster struck this morning.

    Despite weighing myself 37 times, hoping to get a better reading, this was the result;

So after what I thought was a great week, & even allowing for the fact that weight-loss tapers, I only managed a Sam & a half.

That's Karma, right there, as I gave Sam a hard time.

Still, we've yet to see his weigh-in, so I might get away with it.

    Starting weight - 14st 5.5lbs

    After 1 week - 13st 12lbs

    After 2 weeks - 13st 10.5lbs

    = 9.5lbs loss.

Short term target remains 13-7 by SPT Manchester.

Slightly better week, and hopefully heading in the right direction. The main 'problem' areas are...
    1) The morning commute cigarette (or two ) while driving to work. I blame the A500 being a stressful road (Tikay knows this stretch of tarmac well).
    2) Went out Saturday & Thursday night, and can see on social evenings, I will have to make more of an effort to cut down.

I will also start using the gum more.

I also purchased some spray. However, I had a smoke while stressing out trying to get into all the plastic wrapping & then it didnt seem to work #fail

Good progress @MAXALLY on the smokes, well done.

Each to their own I guess, but cutting down bit by bit must be torture, & is surely the hardest possible way to quit?

Cutting down as such never works - it has to be all or nothing.

I still believe that reading the Alan Carr book will insta change your mentality as to smoking. It probably costs less than 2 packs of ciggies.

Postpone it until after this though, tomorrow. You might need a smoke during that.

    Home banker. ish.

The Leeds boss stated he has 'spied' on every club in the league.

.......he hasn't bothered with Stoke though. B)

Slow and steady wins the (very personal) race....

    Start weight 14st 8lb
    Today 14st 5lb

Given the fact I went UP after week 1..not unhappy

The plan was a lifestyle change for gradual weight loss so gradual is certainly the order of the day....god knows what happens when I start drinking again at the Manc SPT...

    GL today guys
