Had a good week with the eating & exercise discipline, tad disappointed with the week's loss of just shy of 3lbs, but it's not awful.
It gets tricky now for the next 2 weeks, as Gill comes down today for a long weekend, which means a conveyor belt of food will be presented to me, she goes back home Tuesday, but then on Friday I'm off up to SPT Manchester, not back until the Monday, so that will ruin the diet & exercise too, what will daily breakfasts & 2am fried chicken dinners for 3 nights.
So for the next 2 weeks, the target is not to gain or lose, & if I can emerge from that at current weight, think that'll do fine.
Winning the Main on Wednesday cheered me up-feel I have been playing really well lately with no luck. However, on Wed felt I played quite poorly, but ran like God
Week 1 - 14'1 and a 1/4 Week 2 - 13'12 and a 1/4. Week 3 - 13'8 and 3/4. Week 4 - 13’9 and 1/4. Week 5 - 13'10 and 1/4.
Moving in the wrong direction. Temptation, and beer and nice food, really are the devil. Get this Saturday out of the way, few drinks inevitable Saturday night, and then get back on it hard core. Aim is for 13'8 this time next week.
Delayed report due to early start on Friday to get up to Manchester.
Photo was taken, as usual, on Friday morning though.
Starting weight = 14st 5.25lbs
After Week 1 = 13st 12lbs
After Week 2 = 13st 10.5lbs
After Week 3 = 13st 6.25lbs
After Week 4 = 13st 3.5lbs
After week 5 = 13st 3.75lbs
Total loss after 5 weeks = 1st 1.5lbs (15.5lbs)
So that was a GAIN of 0.25lbs. Oh the shame.
I did forecast it though, as Gill came down for a long weekend & that means wayyyyy too much food.
This week will likely be a gain too, as I've been away for 3 days up at SPT Manchester, so it's been English brekkie in the hotel then wonderfully dreadful fried chicken & chips after the day ends at 2am or whatever. No choice really.
It's pretty annoying to put even 0.25lbs back on, as that means I need to lose it again, effectively losing the weight twice.
Another small step in the right direction. Going to be a tough week with a long weekend off and all the temptation that brings. Need to get a long walk with Willow in today and tomorrow.
Well she has certainly lived life to the full, fair to say.
I'm not "in" to either art or artists, I simply don't "get" art, & I was never a fan of her. However, there was a quite splendid Documentary of her by Alan Yentob (who always does these things superbly) on BBC2 recently, and whilst I'm still not a fan, I must say my respect for her increased somewhat.
I have been wishing I had joined this thread straight after New Year, I didn’t and having seen me blotting out the sun in pictures of last weeks SPT , I wish I had even more. Have not been near a set of scales for fear of bursting into tears. It is so easy to slip , no matter what your vice is, and it is never easy to get back on the straight and narrow. With the weather warming up it should entice me out for walks, but I hate how I end up sweating like the proverbial pig, always think people are looking at me and judging. I have to do something, and quickly or the slope may be to hard to overcome.

Slow progress, but at least it is progress.
See various of you soon
Start 14'1 1/4
Today 13'9 1/4
Only a small loss on the week but reverses the trend of the last 2 weeks.
Target for this time next week is 13' 8
Might not be much, but it's better than those poor lost souls who actually gained weight.....
Be interesting to see how Quality Street @Sky_SamT has got on. It is noted that he failed to report last week.

Meh.
A quick diversion now, just so I can name-drop.
I treated Gill to Afternoon Tea at The Wolseley on Piccadilly, & this young lady (wearing the dark top), came down & sat at the adjacent table.
Was pretty impressed to be honest, don't see many people as famous as that sitting next to us for tea.
Today 13'8 3/4.

Just back from holiday with a bit of over indulgence hence the weight increase.
So it starts again.
Perhaps it is a bad photo, or maybe she is not as well-known as I thought, but it's Tracey Emin.
"Crikey , shes aging fast"
Well she has certainly lived life to the full, fair to say.

On a side-note, she must be minted these days.
I just checked on Wiki - she is 56.
Hope I have aged as well as that when I reach 56.
