Is it me ? Is this running, unbelievably, unrelentingly, badly, with a capitol B, or, have I completely ‘lost the plot’?

Niceties, out of the way! Poker, this weekend, has ‘nigh on ‘finished me off. Said, before, my choice, I do not multi table, as I simply like to play one, M.T.T., at a time. If I had to attempt, to describe my play style, probably, t.a.g, but, as you all, no doubt know, it is an organic thing, dependent on tournament situation.
So, I would like to share with you, the following, approximate Bakers Dozen, of exit / key hands, from approximately only a ‘baker’s dozen’ of separate M.T.T.s, and ,yes and of course, I will post, each and every one, in full glorious technicolour, all from hand history, but I will post them all, after I have completed this.
I will start, with key hands, and only four key hands, from only four separate M.T.T.s, two and only two from Sunday afternoon, and two, and only two, from Sunday evening, they happen to be, my pocket AK off, my pocket AA, my pocket AA, and my pocket 10 10, I will give you my word, if you are having a read, the majority of this (is not, mild, normal stuff)Well,not normal to me,anyway.

As you will see, I called an all-in, in front of me, with AK off, but, the shove I called, was by AJ off, for a 10k pot, certainly not expecting Q K off, to ‘shove’ at that pot, all this is pre flop, I know what I think myself, but, if anyone, who really knows their stuff, is going to take the time to analyse this, from each separate key hand I am going to post, your analysis appreciated, of who was correct, played optimum, and who ‘ lucked out’ In case you are wondering, on this one, all above pre, and flop came J J 10 !
That was my exit hand, at 14.45 Sun p.m,15 minutes, to dust myself down, and I bought into the rebuy, at 15.00 p.m,exactly one hour and twenty minutes later, ‘trying to play my poker brains out’ I get to this stage,1342426086 and look down at pocket Ad As, which I raise, and get two callers (Poker Ecstasy ?) flop comes 6s 10s 9c,I raise that again, and get called, turn is 5s,which now obviously puts ‘the flush ‘ out there, but, I do have As in my hand (and it was not the flush, that beat me, nor trips, nor two pair !) I check the turn, only other player left in, ships the lot, what with? chasing an up and down straight draw on the river.pre,I am 86% v 14%,post I am 70% v 30%,I call that, only the river to come, as an 87% favorite,a 21000 k pot, guess the rest.
Took an hour and a half break, played nothing, then bought into the 6 p.m. £200 BH,tried to play my Poker brains out, for an hour and fifteen minutes, then I look down at As Ad,I get it all in, after the flop, a million miles ahead, against a player with pocket Q 10 off, 85% fav starting hand, my all in gets called with me as an 80% fav,only the river to come, I am an 89% fav,guess the rest.1342476722
Feeling sick, I could not even face, thinking about Poker, until 21.45 p.m, £200 BH, I lasted? , less than sixty seconds, 1342544160, here is why. First deal of the tournament, and I look down at pocket 10 10 ,this time, if I choose to put my tournament life, immediately on the line, I have to call the all in shove,again,in front of me, for a 4000 pot, which I do, as a 67% fav,need you ask ? Instantly spiked, by a player who got it all in, chasing an inside straight draw.
In the four hands I have discussed here, I have been fav in every one, a monster fav in two, and a huge fav in one. Four exit hands, in the only four MTTs I played over an eight hour period on Sunday. To take the time ( for me) to write these words (in word ! pun intended) then spell check, then check hand history, then attempt to post on the Poker Forum, is not a quick exercise, for me, to that end, if, any of you, think, I am just a bit unlucky ? Wait, (and I promise to do it) and I will detail my Sky Poker Saturday experience, it really is ‘ soul destroyer’ ,that might have to wait until tomorrow, but I will leave you with this to take a look at, on my behalf, believe it, or do not believe it, I have had a contionuos,seven month ‘run’ of exactly (and worse) than the above, I somehow, ‘dragged myself off the Poker floor, after Saturday, which really takes some doing, and for retaining, some shred of belief, that it is possible, ‘to play your way, out of trouble’ , what I have written about above, is what I walked head on into, for my Sunday Poker experience.
Only to lighten the load, a tad, in the Xmas Cracker Promo, the £1000 free roll (only approx. 160) runners, I look down at J J , flop a set, then had to watch runner runner and me ‘ straightened out’
Today, three and a half hours ago, tell myself, ‘ to get back on the horse’ it gets harder, when 5k lighter, but one trys,very first MTT of the day, which I won’t bother posting,(but will if asked) again played my brains, out, how ? does K 6 off suit, call a raise (equal stacked) I am looking down at A 8 suited (diamonds) I have raised it up, and the lot gets shoved in front of me, I called it, my choice, why ? 1. Convinced my oppo was on the steal, 2.A 8 suited, not exactly a shabby hand heads up, 3. I was 70% fav, guess the rest.
I have looked at 500,000 hand history, seven months’ worth, pain staking, and you would find what I have been on the wrong end off, very hard to believe, the above posted, is a taster, when you see my Saturday, it is even worse. Thanks, Happy Christmas Paul

flopped the K high flush, you do the maths ! insta smoked on the turn
and in between, three hours of 'head' spinning poker,and another £30 down the drain, all £5.50 buy ins
Even, when, I play 'bold' even,when I am, a 95% favorite, with only the river to come,( never mind AA AA AA or AK AK AK etc etc, in key critical hands, below, rivered,for the zillionth time, as a 95% + favorite

Posted this exact thread, on Monday, unfortunately, ’I cannot predict the future! although we all obviously try’ ! It would have been rather hard for me, to show you ‘what happened next! ‘With for knowledge. Happens to include, turn river runner runner in a key critical hand, just another 93% chance sucked out on, I have got a rather large collection of them.
But, after posting on Monday, dust ‘yourself’ down, go again, and try to play ‘supreme’ Poker, you know, fold like a demon, lay down monsters out of position, then when you have the goods, strike like a Cobra.Well,please can I share the following .Happens to be, £500 BH went two hours deep, £200 BH went 2 hours deep, don’t feel I could have played any better, and came out of both, without a bean, followed, by todays, (Wednesdays) bad luck story’s, when you are running bad, happens to include, (after an hours play) pocket AK pair of aces and K kicker, I am ‘just unlucky’ the wrong end of A8 with two pair.Just to finish me off, for the day, already! I flop QQ 55, two pair, guess what gets there? A set!
But, please, let me just post, two key hands in each of both BH’s, two hours in, (£500 BH & £200 BH) share my misery.
As you will see, 1342683145. I was in the big blind, so cost me the grand sum of zero, to see the flop,which,Poker ecstacy,hits the straight, a ‘chance, of the 93% fav variety’ to add 1100 chips to my stack, and collect a bounty, naturally, turn river runner runner,whilst,I was still,actively,peppering the air, with expletives, the chip leading big stack decides to shove the lot on me, after the river, as I am looking down at a set of 7 7 7, in any other situation, I would have snap called,(should have) no flushes or straights by the way, and based on play observed, totally convinced I had the player beat, obviously I will never know ? Quads? A house? I just could not do, what every normal Poker instinct told me to do! So I lay that down.it would have been for 18,000, or nothing.
This is a hand, 1342907567 from the £200 BH, two hours in, I just cannot,cannot,seem to get hardly any of ‘these’ through, was again, for a bounty, and 2500 chips plus, my pocket 9 9, I raise, and yet again,my raise,gets an all in cracked in, in front of me, fold ? , or call it? I called, as a 60 % fav, so I get that bit correct, and then the straight runs out, to kick me below the belt, for the umpteenth time.
In this tourney, only seconds later, death or glory, huge three way pot,1342909122 .I will leave it to all of you, to see who had the best starting hand ! happened to be me, with A J suited, a 55% fav v 14% v 24% ,the other 7% are various split pots, I have repeatedly, got myself back up off the floor, with at the back of my mind, ‘playing the best Poker’ will get ‘you there in the end’,yet it never seems to in my personal experience.
I find myself, asking the question, ‘well when’? because no matter, how hard I play, I seem to be on the wrong end of it, been accused before, of being a ‘gambling’ player, I think that’s is laughable, I am a huge, relative favorite,in every single hand here,and,what I definitely do not suffer from,’ is selective memory syndrome, as I genuinely, cannot think, of ONE, single, key critical hand, where I have delivered a bad beat, or suck out, to someone else.(for the purposes what I am referring to, I cannot personaly,take free roll tournaments seriousy,so I don’t,ever,so probably a suck out or two in free roll) but not, and never, in meaningful tournaments.
I played the £100 BH just now, the £5.50 buy in, I defy any player on here, to tell me, they would not have played this hand, exactly the same way as I did,1343169723,this is approx. an hour in, my hand pocket AK, top pair aces, and a K kicker, had the short stack dominated, and for a bounty,but,as you will see, I just can’t ‘luck out’, fair play to pocket A 8 and the two pair.
I do not have the technical ability to post it, but I do have a crystal clear screen shot, of the third time it has happened to me,transitioning, from, ? 7 8 9 players, to a final table, six handed, when the tourney carries on, and I can’t see my cards to act, this one happens to be with myself, in the big blind, how the player to my left calls it ? , as no cards can be seen, I cannot understand. And, this has never ever happened before, just three times in days recently.
Fully expect, to be back! Blasting off about quads over quads, or a K straight flush done by the Royal. Now that would really be something, if I can report that later on, then again, that God like run, from Santa Claus, may be just about to begin.
‘Only’ for a near 6500 pot, plus Bounty, me, 62% pre, v 28% v 8%,post,me 85% v 15% v zero, ‘only the jolly old river to come, ‘well, would you believe it !
1. Pre-flop. You are calling with a poor hand (K5). It gets dominated by a lot of average hands, for example A5. Folding (and raising) are better than flatting.
2. Flop. There is a call and a raise in front of you. Not keen on the flat, but sure others would play it the way you did.
3. Turn. Bet and a raise before you. What on earth are you doing just flatting there? Smaller flushes may well call your raise. Bare Ad may call your raise while a massive dog, but you let him have another card for free. you want him to put his money in while just on a draw, not fold/shove on the river.
4. River. Your raise is wrong-all it does is tell anyone with the Ad that you have committed yourself, and any weaker hand to fold.
You were unlucky with the cards, but, with respect, you played this hand incorrectly.
