So, I would genuinely like to share with you, nearly four hours of Poker, only three MTT’s, which were a rebuy, a bounty hunter and a deep stack. I played nothing else ( all played separately) I went an hour deep in the first, had got myself 17,500 chip stack, and all in the World was fantastic, how did I take 2000 chips ,to 17500 ? Being lucky! never, calling off a player I have marked down with the ‘time form’ squiggle, (no, I want post those hands) but they were, both times myself with a straight to the Ace, A K Q J 10 both times, against pocket trey four, (3 4) and then pocket five eight, (5 8) who thought it a good idea, to take me on!
I got to, 12.48 just into Saturday afternoon, looking forward to the five minute break, in a great position, 12.48 Sat hand number 1373345484 in the small blind, I look down at pocket K c Q d.Get a caller, two folders, I call, and then the big blind raises 900,I call, as does one other,(all pre) three way to the flop, flop comes K s 10 d 2 h,I check it, big blind raises again, other player folds, now exactly, as I want to be, always, when I play Poker, and that’s getting heads up, I re raise, and that gets called, turn shows an innocent looking 3 d, ( now, just in case, in my defence, as will become obvious, I am not a timid player) also, never want to be ‘stupidly aggressive’ , I checked the turn, yes I know a free card, but stand on me, if I had shipped it, I know it would have been called, chasing a straight, which didn’t hit, 7000 pot, and I am only 85% v 15% to the river,(that’s a marginal hand for me!) and of course, an A hit, and misterpj’s Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus persona started with the ‘eye twitch’ Very very next hand, 12.49 hand number 1373345659,with a ‘twitching eye, I look down at pocket Q h Q c ,I raise it, 600, and get one customer, who shoves 9340 at me, ( mentally, I say to myself, surely I am not running into KK AA again ?) an this time I call it, a near 20,000 k pot, from twitching eye, seconds earlier, to Poker Utopia seconds later,20k pot, called off the shove, and as a monumental favourite,( if the top 20 Poker players on the planet, consider 75% huge) I am calling 82% massive, you can guess the rest, can’t you, yes indeed, a J spikes, is there an unwritten rule, I don’t know about, that states misterpj must not improve his hand ?in huge pots ! continued
Tilt ?, no ,1373345484 12.48 1373345659 12.49 and 1373347174, still tried to ‘fight back’ 12.53 all in with JJ called off by A Q , of course the turn spikes a Q, 17,500 to zero, in minutes, rivered for 7,000 chips, all in for 20,000 chips, and a suck out to boot.
Buy into the bounty hunter, 13.01, (like minutes after the previous carnage, minutes earlier) hand number 1373347338 at 13.02, misterpj’s Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus persona (with twitching eye) looks down at 10 5 suited clubs in the big blind, nothing at all to see a flop show K c 8 c 9 turn brought J h no action, river brings Ac, two flushes to the ace clash, ace flushes with tens and fives and sevens and Jacks, I run so good.
And I will build it to the ‘climax’, nearly three hours later, almost 16.00 pm,
After the above carnage for me, I resolved, not to tilt, not to get dragged off to Happy Acre’s (that’s the Poker Sanity Commission) and to play my brains out, super tight, and be defiant, and I did, all the until 15.50 p.m. Sat, again, looking forward to the five minute break.
Then, this actually happened, as you will see, when I post the hand.Myself, and one other, seated on my right, (who I know is a very good Poker player) we had accumulated, approx. 10,000 stacks each, and avoided each other, until the inevitable, I postulate, this really is pretty extreme, You Ladies and Gentlemen tell me, could you have, folded this? The maths is phenomenal.
1373382274 15.50 p.m. Sat afternoon, no action,none,and heads up, until after the river, this hand features, two sets, two fullhouses,two premium pocket pairs, and THE ONE AND ONLY MIRACLE CARD ON THE RIVER, for both players, I reiterate, (1) I was up against a quality player (2) it is not a beat (3) if that was live, I would have stood up, with a big smile, and said a genuine, very well played. No hysterics, (misterpj ever? run good? rather than run? insanely diabolically, it put me on the floor, Hellmuth style.
To TK, Essex Phil, Matt, Tommy, Timmy could? Would? Any or all five of you, got off this? I couldn’t, (for the uninitiated, all action, only after the river, zero before) I said to myself the following, all this check check, if it was quads, which it was not, doubt would have played it that way, I also said to myself, I cannot have been run pocket KK into pocket AA again ( not again ?) in my Poker brain, it was either, pocket K 10 making a house on the river, or pocket, Q J making a straight on the river, and I had both demolished, when a K on the river, is manna for one player, and destruction for another, any other card, than the K , with 10 10 and an A showing, I am folding to any action, especially against a player who is very very good.
To close, you need to be a math genius to calculate that, for any math’s geniuses, please do the maths for me, but, it is not just, six handed, pocket AA into pocket KK, or the board showing an A K,it is the K coming on the river, the maths, is very very different, for example, an A and a K coming on the flop, as opposed to the K on the river, a good maths poker pal had a look, and told me, not enough zero’s ? How do I become a winning player!
Fold Kings full of tens 20k pot, Fold QQ into JJ 20k pot, Fold A flush with a 10 into A flush with a J,in my final attempt, to put a smile on someone’s face, and ‘hey @Skypoker’ got to be worth a prize ? It will be all going back in in buy ins! feels like, having Derby class form in the book,going off 2/9 in sellers,and being tailed off, ‘time form squiggle’ for me as well!

Yesterday was not a good day for me. First hand lost all-in pre with AA v KK, lost in a big tournament to a 1-outer, lost in another on here for the Vegas Final when a big favourite, etc etc.
And you know what? That is all part of the game. I honestly can't remember an earlier hand in the Vegas Final, but I know I sucked out earlier on the same guy.
When does playing good poker pay off? The long term. Not in a single hand.

You ‘boy’s and ‘girls’ at the top end of Skypoker,you know how much ‘thinking’ time, we all have,here,if this was live, as ridiculous as it sounds, if I had ‘more thinking time’ in a live game, and I rated my opponents, I could have found, maybe ? a sound reason, for folding my hand,(potential huge draws) but this obviously is not live Poker, and opponents are ‘different’ and, in misterpj’s Poker mind, there is a big difference, in being tight, to calling off a huge Pot, with the Nut’z,even with massive draws.
Not told you yet, what I am looking down at, pocket Jc 8s, which is a flopped J 10 9 8 7 straight, actually the Nut’z at this point (obviously not ‘stone cold’) two all ins, cracked in, in front, on that board, only I know, how bad I have run, over a long time, foolishly, I tell myself, it cannot go on forever, I have made self-deprecating jokes, about myself above.I am not joking here.

And now, my dear Poker friends, as you will see, at Saturday lunchtime, I posted Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus Poker experiences, to protect the innocent (guilty) Inspector Clouseau’s player name stays secret!
And, I did, exactly what I said I was going to do, go home, play Poker.
So, I would genuinely like to share with you, nearly four hours of Poker, only three MTT’s, which were a rebuy, a bounty hunter and a deep stack. I played nothing else ( all played separately) I went an hour deep in the first, had got myself 17,500 chip stack, and all in the World was fantastic, how did I take 2000 chips ,to 17500 ? Being lucky! never, calling off a player I have marked down with the ‘time form’ squiggle, (no, I want post those hands) but they were, both times myself with a straight to the Ace, A K Q J 10 both times, against pocket trey four, (3 4) and then pocket five eight, (5 8) who thought it a good idea, to take me on!
I got to, 12.48 just into Saturday afternoon, looking forward to the five minute break, in a great position,
12.48 Sat hand number 1373345484 in the small blind, I look down at pocket K c Q d.Get a caller, two folders, I call, and then the big blind raises 900,I call, as does one other,(all pre) three way to the flop, flop comes K s 10 d 2 h,I check it, big blind raises again, other player folds, now exactly, as I want to be, always, when I play Poker, and that’s getting heads up, I re raise, and that gets called, turn shows an innocent looking 3 d, ( now, just in case, in my defence, as will become obvious, I am not a timid player) also, never want to be ‘stupidly aggressive’ , I checked the turn, yes I know a free card, but stand on me, if I had shipped it, I know it would have been called, chasing a straight, which didn’t hit, 7000 pot, and I am only 85% v 15% to the river,(that’s a marginal hand for me!) and of course, an A hit, and misterpj’s Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus persona started with the ‘eye twitch’
Very very next hand, 12.49 hand number 1373345659,with a ‘twitching eye, I look down at pocket Q h Q c ,I raise it, 600, and get one customer, who shoves 9340 at me, ( mentally, I say to myself, surely I am not running into KK AA again ?) an this time I call it, a near 20,000 k pot, from twitching eye, seconds earlier, to Poker Utopia seconds later,20k pot, called off the shove, and as a monumental favourite,( if the top 20 Poker players on the planet, consider 75% huge)
I am calling 82% massive, you can guess the rest, can’t you, yes indeed, a J spikes, is there an unwritten rule, I don’t know about, that states misterpj must not improve his hand ?in huge pots !

Buy into the bounty hunter, 13.01, (like minutes after the previous carnage, minutes earlier) hand number 1373347338 at 13.02, misterpj’s Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus persona (with twitching eye) looks down at 10 5 suited clubs in the big blind, nothing at all to see a flop show K c 8 c 9 turn brought J h no action, river brings Ac, two flushes to the ace clash, ace flushes with tens and fives and sevens and Jacks, I run so good.
And I will build it to the ‘climax’, nearly three hours later, almost 16.00 pm,
After the above carnage for me, I resolved, not to tilt, not to get dragged off to Happy Acre’s (that’s the Poker Sanity Commission) and to play my brains out, super tight, and be defiant, and I did, all the until 15.50 p.m. Sat, again, looking forward to the five minute break.
Then, this actually happened, as you will see, when I post the hand.Myself, and one other, seated on my right, (who I know is a very good Poker player) we had accumulated, approx. 10,000 stacks each, and avoided each other, until the inevitable, I postulate, this really is pretty extreme, You Ladies and Gentlemen tell me, could you have, folded this? The maths is phenomenal.
1373382274 15.50 p.m. Sat afternoon, no action,none,and heads up, until after the river, this hand features, two sets, two fullhouses,two premium pocket pairs, and THE ONE AND ONLY MIRACLE CARD ON THE RIVER, for both players, I reiterate, (1) I was up against a quality player (2) it is not a beat (3) if that was live, I would have stood up, with a big smile, and said a genuine, very well played.
No hysterics, (misterpj ever? run good? rather than run? insanely diabolically, it put me on the floor, Hellmuth style.
To TK, Essex Phil, Matt, Tommy, Timmy could? Would? Any or all five of you, got off this?
I couldn’t, (for the uninitiated, all action, only after the river, zero before)
I said to myself the following, all this check check, if it was quads, which it was not, doubt would have played it that way,
I also said to myself, I cannot have been run pocket KK into pocket AA again ( not again ?) in my Poker brain, it was either, pocket K 10 making a house on the river, or pocket, Q J making a straight on the river, and I had both demolished, when a K on the river, is manna for one player, and destruction for another, any other card, than the K , with 10 10 and an A showing, I am folding to any action, especially against a player who is very very good.
To close, you need to be a math genius to calculate that, for any math’s geniuses, please do the maths for me, but, it is not just, six handed, pocket AA into pocket KK, or the board showing an A K,it is the K coming on the river, the maths, is very very different, for example, an A and a K coming on the flop, as opposed to the K on the river, a good maths poker pal had a look, and told me, not enough zero’s ?
How do I become a winning player!
Fold Kings full of tens 20k pot, Fold QQ into JJ 20k pot, Fold A flush with a 10 into A flush with a J,in my final attempt, to put a smile on someone’s face, and ‘hey @Skypoker’ got to be worth a prize ? It will be all going back in in buy ins!

And you know what? That is all part of the game. I honestly can't remember an earlier hand in the Vegas Final, but I know I sucked out earlier on the same guy.

I thought April fools was over, when my made straight,82% fav,all in all in, was ‘chased down’ by the 18% chance, who naturally got their on the river.(mild stuff)
Managed to be on the wrong end of it, with Bells and Whistles, in a hand, that will give me Poker nightmares, for ever.

misterpj thinks, a set 10 10 10 9 9 9 7 7 7 ?,or two sets ?
Or maybe A K hearts? Or 9 8 hearts?
Maybe Q J chasing an up and down straight draw? even Q J hearts.
You ‘boy’s and ‘girls’ at the top end of Skypoker,you know how much ‘thinking’ time, we all have,here,if this was live, as ridiculous as it sounds, if I had ‘more thinking time’ in a live game, and I rated my opponents, I could have found, maybe ? a sound reason, for folding my hand,(potential huge draws) but this obviously is not live Poker, and opponents are ‘different’ and, in misterpj’s Poker mind, there is a big difference, in being tight, to calling off a huge Pot, with the Nut’z,even with massive draws.
Not told you yet, what I am looking down at, pocket Jc 8s, which is a flopped J 10 9 8 7 straight, actually the Nut’z at this point (obviously not ‘stone cold’) two all ins, cracked in, in front, on that board, only I know, how bad I have run, over a long time, foolishly, I tell myself, it cannot go on forever, I have made self-deprecating jokes, about myself above.I am not joking here.

misterpj called off the lot, with the J high flopped straight, no flush in sight,no set in sight,no pocket pair in sight.

I thought it was a ‘nightmare’ it still feels a nightmare,I cannot see ,how playing ‘the best Poker’ is giving me any chance whatsoever. Am I really,expected,to continuously ‘shrug off’ hands like this,or hands like KKK1010 into AAA1010 as already posted,or calling off JJ in a huge hand/pot with QQ, it is relentless,and I never dish out beats in the opposite direction,unless it is for 20 chips ! If there was a ‘beat of the year’ in context,deep run in an MTT, two shoves,the Maths as shown,it must be a contender,the turn river 10 9 runner runner as shown,is the stuff of,….. you tell me.
