    Hi all,

    Starting weight = 19st 3lbs

    Week one. = 18st 3lbs
    Week two. = 18st 0lbs

After the large loss in week one, coupled with a bank holiday weekend, family visits and lots of feasting going on, I am reasonably happy with a three pound loss.
I managed to enjoy the company and trips to cafes, pubs and restaurants without going mad as I would normally do. I ate more than I should over the weekend, but cutback my calorie intake the rest of the week to compensate. The only thing that I could have done better was on the exercise front. Four days this week I have hardly walked a step, so this week I need to get back out there and pound those pavements.
Four weeks yesterday I will be travelling to Vegas, my new target is to have the scales read 16st something the morning of the flight. It’s a big ask, but shoot for the moon and even if you miss, you may hit the stars.
Good luck to all fighting the good fight this week.
    Nick

    Well done again.
Need to motivate myself more, as stuck on 18-07....

A very odd week for the diet & exercise programme.

Illness has prevented me from doing my 3 daily 2 mile walks for the entire week. These burn a lot of calories, so I feared that missing out on all the walking would result in zero weight loss, maybe even a gain.

Set against that, have eaten far less this week due to complete loss of appetite.

On balance, I was not expecting to lose weight, so a three quarters of a pound loss was a nice surprise.

Now just 1lb short of my 12st target. If I feel able to get back on the exercise this week, the diet could be over by next Friday. Think I'll target a fortnight today, just to be safe.

GL everyone with the health kicks.

Sorry to hear you have not been well Tony, hope it’s nothing too serious and you will feel better soon. Best to get any illness out of the way before we go to Vegas.
Looking forward to playing some plo8 with you and Phil.

    Hi fellow dieters,

    Starting weight = 19st 3lbs

    Week one. = 18st 3lbs
    Week two. = 18st 0lbs
    Week three = 17st 10lbs

I am pretty happy with a four pound loss, my concerted effort to do more exercise never materialised. I have not been feeling great and if I’m being honest, a little bit of laziness on my part has been to blame. Still that is one and a half stone in three weeks so I must not get down on myself, that usually leads to me turning to comfort food.
Vegas is looming on the horizon, I’m looking forward to it, just wish I had started this earlier, something to remember in the future before I dive into a huge amount of food I don’t actually need.

Good luck to everyone still fighting the good fight.

    Evening Mr TK,

You have done so well losing the lbs...

Are you putting together a Vegas Package this year?

If so, i'll take a small % on the proviso there will be Jeeves escapades.

Hello members of the dwindling band of dieters,

    Starting weight = 19st 3lbs

    Week one =. 18st 3lbs
    Week two. = 18st 0lbs
    Week three. = . 17st 10lbs
    Week four. = . 17st 5lbs

I think I have to be happy with a five pound loss this week, considering I am doing hardly any exercise at all. Not sure why that is, I’m normally quite good at getting out and about, walking around dear old Pompey. I also have things to go look at and purchase in readiness for the upcoming holiday. Hopefully I can have a word with myself and get my big fat ar$e moving.
I have to shop for clothes, never a pleasurable experience for a fatty, I have never been one for fashion, there was never a choice, you just took whatever potato sack was available in your size, hoped it was comfortable and didn’t show of your fat bits. The shops are a bit better these days, but whatever I put on, the same old ugly fat git stares back at me from the mirror. Just don’t want to look awful in Vegas when everyone gets together.
The new goal I set last week, being sixteen stone something the morning I fly out to Vegas, is within sight. Just two more pounds and I will have lost two stone , which, in just over a month , will be pretty good. Hopefully this time next week one or maybe two of these things will have been achieved.

Good luck to all those who are fighting the good fight.

hmmmmm...don't know how you guys are doing it(WD BTW!)...I eat relatively healthy..ok..I drink a bit of beer but less than I did-ditto red wine, I exercise a bit, lift lots of small weights with work- it's like doing reps and I'm still on 14st 6 FFS

    Hi all

Sorry I didn't follow up on the challenge, real life and my job have been mental, I have had absolutely no time for poker and this thread kinda got forgotten.

As for an update, I am still fat and have put on more weight since the start of the thread. It is half term for me so I will try and do a little more exercise. Next week not gotta be the best for me but after that, I plan a new routine of a 30 min run at 6am every day before work.
Is this thread ending now the season is over or will it keep going? I have a lot of weight to lose over the next 2 months before my holiday and need a spurt to keep my going.
