Congrats on hitting £500 so quickly @waller02

This must be THE most frustrating thing, I've done it myself on occasion, so kudos to whoever mentioned the workaround. (@MynaFrett or @Itsover4u ?).

"I hit enter and it called a shove on my table for almost half my stack with utter garbage."

    Thanks Tikay.

It was @MynaFrett who mentioned the fix. Yes it was very frustrating, it had never happened before and I didn't even realise it could happen. For me to discover this at the business end of a tournament made it even worse but at least it wasn't on the bubble I suppose. Like you say though, it has happened to most of us at some point and now I've changed the settings there won't be a repeat.

Barring a miracle tonight's update will be pretty grim due to hands like this:

Don't normally post/moan about bad beats but this one was rare. I was saying "No ace, no ace,no ace" lol

    Day 15.

    Well, ain't Sod's Law a ****.

Just when you start feeling good about the challenge, happy to be at the £500 mark and setting new targets, along comes the worst session yet to ensure my 500 club membership was a brief one.

When the last table closed I had to sit there and have a little chuckle otherwise I might have been having a trip to PC world tomorrow to replace my laptop as it came very close to being repeatedly hit with a hammer.

I lost some pretty big pots as a big favourite. Then the worse I ran the worse I played and I sit here now just relieved it's all over!

    17:10 - £1.60 Main Sat (X)
    17:30 - £5.50 BH (X)
    18:15 - £2.20 Rebuy (1 rebuy) (X)
    18:30 - £5.50 BH (X)
    19:00 - 7.70 BH (X)
    19:15 - £2.20 Deepy (X)
    19:45 - £11 BH (X)
    20:00 - £2.20 BH (X £0.94 head prizes)
    20:15 - £11 BH (X £4.69 head prizes)
    20:30 - £5.50 Mini (X)

So it's a step backwards tonight but it was only a matter of time before I had a night like this and there will be many more to come yet, just hopefully not on consecutive nights.

Going to the gym tomorrow so won't be at the tables, which is for the best as a night off is probably wise after such a bad night.

Love the new thread title :)

Unlucky tonight. A wise man recently suggested to me that a night like that will often be immediately followed by something an awful lot better :)

Yeah, hoping I can do an @Duesenberg and come back with a bang on the next session. Nice win btw.

    Day 16.

A mixed bag tonight. There was a very unlucky exit from the mini and a big error in my only £11 game of the night. However, there were also 3 final tables resulting in me finishing in profit and sneaking over the £500 mark once again. Lets see if I can stay above that mark for a bit longer this time.

Shared one of my final tables with a forum regular, in fact he went on to take it down, but he said not to mention his name. I assured him that I wouldn't.

    16:15 - £2.20 Deepy (X)
    16:30 - £5.50 BH (6th £18.73 + £10.59 head prizes) (well played @MynaFrett )

    17:30 - £5.50 BH (2nd £41.80 + £20.55 head prizes)
    18:30 - £5.50 BH (X)
    19:00 - £7.70 BH (X)
    19:15 - £2.20 Deepy (3rd £16.08)
    20:15 - £11 BH (X)
    20:30 - £5.50 Mini (X)

Gym tomorrow after work but should be back for an evening session.

    Day 17.

I consider myself lucky to come away only a quid down tonight because although I played OK in patches I really struggled to maintain focus and was generally quite poor.

To be honest I shouldn't really have played as I'm shattered but it was that or Coronation Street. It was a long day followed by the Gym straight after work. By the time I'd showered and settled down to play it was gone half 6, I late regged the 18:30 BH and set about having a small session. I was never really at the races and I've decided to not play straight after the Gym again. When you're past your prime and seriously unfit an hour of exercise takes a LOT out of you. On the plus side though I have lost 4lbs this week.

A late final table in the Megastack did salvage things slightly but I only got there by sheer luck alone.

    18:30 - £5.50 BH (X)
    19:00 - £7.70 BH (12th £9.47 + £14.47 head prizes)
    19:15 - £3.30 Orfy (X)
    19:15 - £2.20 Deepy (X)
    20:15 - £11 BH (X)
    20:30 - £5.50 Mini (1 rebuy) (X)
    20:30 - £5.50 Megastack (6th £32.59)
    21:30 - £11 BH (X)
    £1 from 19:30 freeroll

A lie in should recharge the batteries and hopefully I can play a bit better tomorrow.

    Start BR: £100

    @waller02

After an excellent prompt by someone on another thread, would you like me to move this across to Poker chat?

It certainly deserves to be there.

Up to you, whatever you prefer, but if you want me to move it, no problem, it's a one click job for me.

Seeing as it's lasted longer than I thought, you can do then please, if it's no trouble. Thanks.

    Day 18.

Ended up not playing yesterday as the weather was far too nice to be stuck indoors on my laptop.

Had the usual small Sunday afternoon session just now with nothing much to report. Just the one cash to end up slightly down. Still in the 500 club for now though, just.

    16:15 - £2.20 Deepy (X)

Will be back playing tomorrow, enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Wow, every reason to be a proud Dad.

    What is a "prom" please?
  • HENDRIK62HENDRIK62 Member Posts: 3,194
''In the United States, a promenade dance, most commonly called a prom, is a semi-formal (black tie) dance or gathering of high school students. This event is typically held near the end of the senior year (the last year of high school). ... At a prom, a prom king and a prom queen may be revealed
Proms are big news in Britain these days. A school prom is a formal party to celebrate an important date at school such as the end of secondary school or after completing school exams in Year 11 (aged 15–16) and in Year 13 (aged 17–18). Some pupils also have a school prom when they finish primary school.''

    Good Lord.

    Never knew that.

Do all school children have them?
  • HENDRIK62HENDRIK62 Member Posts: 3,194
yeah, its really annoying, all the mothers(by extension the kids) want to out do each other, when my daughter left primary (!) they got a limousine, a meal and a recording session....
