Has been a bit of a tricky week, given the rapidly changing situation surrounding Corona Virus.
Exercise wise has been ok, thankfully some better weather has resulted in more outdoor runs.
Food has not been so good, especially the last 2 days with quite a bit of junk food.
On Wednesday was seeing an elderly couple of relatives, which might be the last time in a while. Paninis filled with chicken and cheese and some very nice cakes to finish.
Not at all good for the waistline, but totally delicious.
It was the same yesterday, a lot of indulgence.
Certainly not to worried about slight gain this week, and will get back on track next week.
So a steady loss this week although a very intermittent exercise regime didn't help. Going to try the whole week alcohol free instead of using my syn allowance on drink and see what difference that makes to both the weight loss and my general feeling.
A little disheartening to stick 100% rigidly to the diet-based food intake all week & only lose 0.75 lbs, but I guess that's how it's going to be now that I've shed the worst of the flab.
I'm enjoying my food, for sure, but I could murder a Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney pie & a pack of Idaho Mash.
In hospital on 25th weighed in at a baw hair over 15st, back in 3 weeks later on the 18th Mar weighed in at a baw hair over 14st ( yay ) no alcohol for 3 weeks ( boo ) More fish and chicken ( yay ) no butter , salt , sugar , cakes , pies , tasty milk , pizzas , chippies ( boo ) goin more walks ( yay ). I am eating more pulses, beans etc, my living room is like the camp fire scene in Blazing Saddles at night, but heho all for the greater good.
Well Ill be brutally honest. Not only have I not dieted, I haven't trained, avoided alcohol or eaten even remotely sensibly.
Don't even have the motivation to get on the scales atm, trust me it'll be a train wreck of a figure when I do on Monday.
Although its not all woe is me because I'm really ok with things mentally. I've never had an issue with being very overweight from a body conscious aspect. No my desire to shed a few stones comes from simply being healthier rather than looking good so it's not a vanity thing.
However that said I have dug out some equipment for home training and found some slimming world recipe books ( I do all the cooking in our house due to my wifes disability) so I shall resume on Monday with the weigh in and lets see what happens.
Its going to be an OMG moment but ho hum and all that.
Meant to post this last Friday but been a bit busy with this & that.
A 0.75lbs loss in the week is not much to shout about, but I guess it will be slow going all the way from here.
It's actually easier to stick to the diet in the current conditions, not being able to shop freely & all that. I've got all the food I need, but just "good" stuff, so that's a bonus.
How are all the other plumpies getting on? Don't seem to be many of us still here.
I'm still here Tony and a 0.75 lb loss is still a loss so well done. You are right of course the losses will diminish week on week until you plateau at which point you have to let the body maintain for a few weeks and then do something radically different to shock the metabolism.
That's usually in the form of increased exercise or such like.
Personally ive had zero motivation to lose weight. I thrive on the club meeting environment and the gym and without both I really cant get up for it. Bit like poker at the moment so maybe its just a general malaise.

Yes, difficult times Mark, and dieting is hardly at the top of many lists right now. Personally, this isolation is no problem at all, but I'm mindful many others - most I suspect - thrive on personal contact.

That's more livelehoods ruined.

Very pleased with a 2lb loss this week, especially after last week's puny 0.75lbs loss.
As the diet progresses it gets progressively harder, obviously, so I'm more than happy with that.
I've also passed the 2 stone loss mark.
