always remember, the genuine piece of advice
Matt Bates, gave pj, way way back.
Always be prepared, to take a bad beat, but don't lose your stack, fight back.
the hand above, was 3 hours plus deep, for a runaway chip lead
    'take a beat, fight back'
10 minutes later, snap call, the all in shove, what with?
Pocket AK... suited, flop it how good?
    85% hand equity.
    remarkable 'Jim (tony😉)'

further, factor in this, May 2nd 2020> Jan 12th 2021
hands WON, in similar fashion to below, 6 SIX
hand lost, in similar fashion to below, over 300, Three Hundred
and those that know me, know I have every hand

In comes, yet Another River Thames Tea Clipper, in a massive hand

If you'd stop with all this serial limping Paul you would not get in these spots.

    Just stop with the limping.
  • misterpjmisterpj Member Posts: 3,204
So Tony, what you are saying is
The above hand, appalling play on my part?
    Now, if we Squash it
Once, for all, for all time
Run, that exact hand, past Matt Bates
    I already know, Matts answer😏
Fantastic play, to get my Oppo, to shove the lot in,
Plus, an obvious correct snap call
    Cough, 91%
Best wishes, as ever Paul J

@MattBates are we limping with J5s in the co?
  • Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 158,770

MattBates would never have limped in Paul so he could never be in that spot.

It's limping that causes most of your problems.

I'm not calling you out & I'm not saying you are appalling. I'm saying stop with the limping, it's that simple.

He can only limp, he has no leg to stand on........ cough!

    Audition for "Tarzan"

disclaimer; only banter love you really......

You put these hands up day after day where you limp in. You put one up yesterday where you limped in from a FOUR BIG BLIND STACK.

You are always going to get in trouble when you do stuff like that.

No player ever limps from 4 Bigs, surely you must realise that by now?

When we get to 20-30 Bigs, then we need to start playing different, & we certainly don't ever limp from 4 Bigs.

Try & look up some shove ranges, it will help you enormously. But nothing can help you when you have 4 Bigs, it's all down to luck then.

And I am not digging out, the other player
98 off, on a diamond diamond spade flop
Yep, top pair, but can't put a 5 in my hand to a 1800 bet
Unless a crystal ball, can't be expecting the turn 9 (two pair)
All in snap shove (2 pair)
    can't put, a 5 in my hand
    Snap call that, 91% good
Best hand, with 1 to come '91% equity, huge tourney pot, yes, I know, just the way it go.
When, I run, if it ever happens, exactly as shown, winning huge pots, when I have shoved, holding 9% equity, because, I genuinely, don't know what it's like to Hit, I genuinely do know, what it's like on the receiving end.

Best wishes, every Skypoker player, run brilliant, all, all year pj

Forget all that. If you had not limped it would not have happened. End of.

You asked if MattBates would have gone busto there. Impossible, as he would never limp there in a million years. J-5? What WERE you thinking?

You are looking at the consequences of your actions (losing) not the cause of your actions (limping).

Would it be childish of me to point out the spelling error in your request?
I think an Artisan coach may well help you more with your game.
