    Hi Tom

Pleased you won that 1-I bubbled it horribly thanks to an evil last card. Mind you, had enough luck tonight.

    See you soon

    Vegas
The flight to Vegas was a tad uncomfortable, the parents sitting behind us took their 18 month old daughter with them, it isn't great when what seemed for the entire trip she was kicking my seat :( , no sleep on way out..arrived at Caesars Palace totally drained, the receptionist must have seen how tired we both were as she offered us an up-grade room as ' no rooms were ready of the cost we had purchased' I thought how nice, until she informed me it would be an extra $40 per night lol.
We couldn't be bothered to argue the point, and toddled up to our room, it was fab, had a TV in the bathroom, a massive bath and separate shower, my good lady found out the bath actually was one of them jacuzzi things, I think she may have made a slight error in adding bubble bath before putting the jets of air on :)
We had a great view of the Bellagio fountains outside our window, the bed was lovely albeit a tad high, my wife is slightly smaller than I, by slightly I mean about a foot, she needed a stepladder to get in :)
We decided to explore the surrounding area, I took my jumper with me " just in case", it was over 100 degrees but the casinos have air conditioning set to Alaska so I was prepared.
My dear lady made me enter a tournament in the Flamingo, cut a long story short I raised with JQ cc UTG, got 2 callers, flop 89cc 4, bet half pot , 1 caller, turn 6c Bingo :) I shove, he calls with......K2cc, I had forgotten live is rigged ;)
The poker did get better later in the holiday.
Next day was the meet and greet, we were a tad apprehensive but meeting Eamonn and his lovely wife Sharon earlier in the day put us both at ease, I met the legend that is Mr.K, he pulled my leg a bit which was par for the course and made us feel really welcome, all the sky players I met were really good guys n gals,  the only downside was no lock on the toilet door :( good old Eamonn stood guard whilst I did my ablutions for the umpteenth time :)
Left around 10pm to go to Treasure Island for the $77 tourney,   Eamonn won, I came 3rd for $340 which was a nice bonus.
Part 2 of Vegas to follow x

Thanks for the kind words chaps. - Vegas Part2
My good lady and I were kindly invited to join the bus tour of Vegas., once again I was a tad apprehensive - what to wear!!
I don't know if I have mentioned this, but I feel the cold, how is that possible for a tough ex miner northerner?
Anyway, my fears were unfounded as I shall disclose later :)
I sat at the front of the bus, opposite a lovely lady ( Sarah) who seemed to know everything about everything Vegas related, we stopped at the Vegas sign for photo ops, I got off to stretch my legs and have a crafty drag of my e-cig, who should come up and introduce himself but the sky poker ambassador Mr.Neil Channing! He is a thouroughly nice chap, I told him we were planning to watch a show, he told me a friend of his had seen it 50 times ! Good review :)
We then went to the Rio for the sky players to reg for the one drop, and guess what? I was handed a sky poker hoodie :) my fears for being too cold were diminished somewhat , we stood on the steps and had a photo with all the players - made my day :) not only that but whilst the players were regging there was a break from the main event ( I recall that rush to the toilets) hi Jon ;) was a tad star struck seeing the likes of Greg Raymer, Mike Matusow, etc etc.
The day ended with a trip to Freemont Street, where Mr Channing bestowed us with a plethora of stories about the beginning of the main event, the players, the hotels, and many others.
    Fabulous day.
Part3 sometime over the weekend ( I hope)
    Love to all x

I'm unsure what you where doing here Tom, I can only assume that whatever it was and Tikay's hasty retreat are somehow linked.

Ok , before anyone sees that photo, I must say what a thouroughly decent chap CPFC2010 is. Him and his lovely wife Sharon made our time in Vegas extra special. He was giving me sound advice even after he bubbled the $150 tourney in Caesars on mine and my good lady wife's last night, ( the one I chopped for the 'win' for $1307, got a medal and all )

Wonder if photos can be deleted? ;)

It's great to see the SPT's are back, it is a great experience playing them and meeting all the chaps and chapesses we pit our wits against on this great poker site.
I tried but failed to get there, I did withdraw enough to buy in direct, unfortunately something happened which made it impossible for me to attend.
Last Monday my dear wife's Mother sadly passed away.
I could expand on the whole story but it's not for this forum, sad times.
I was really excited to see the next one announced just down the road in Brighton.
    Until.....the dates were announced.
My good lady was born on the wrong day.
It's her big 5 0 this year, we have booked a cruise taking in the Panama Canal, she was born 11/11/67
I best not cancel it to go to Brighton methinks :)
    Roll on SPT 3
Good luck to my poker guru Eamonn today , and Neil whose name I can't see on the update.
    Love and Peace x
